ORB Asia Gold
Trades the Asian session on gold (MGC). It builds the Asian opening range and enters on a momentum breakout, closing before London. 59% win rate in backtest.
How it works
ORB Asia Gold brings the opening-range breakout logic to gold (MGC) during the Asian session. The initial range forms at the Asian open (around 03:00 Madrid time in summer) and the strategy watches for a momentum breakout. The position is force-closed in the early European morning, before the London open: no overnight exposure.
Gold behaves differently from the indices, with its own Asian-session dynamics, which makes it a good complement to the MNQ strategies. Management is staged with a first target, breakeven and a second target. Everything runs inside NinjaTrader 8.
